MY dearest family.
WOW I´m soo excited to tell you what happened this week. SO first things first, cambios (transfers). Yes we did have changes and my companion went to a place called Belloto. So my new companion is Hermana Huaman. Its sounds like Woman but with a Jamaican accent. Yes it so awesome haha! I feel Jamaican every time I say her name. She is from PERU!! I love Peru! :) The people there are always always so so humble. She came here with Hermana Paz so she has a year in the mission this friday (same day I have 10 months). She is amazing. I feel like I´m learning so much from her and I feel like this will be one of my favorite changes, I´m really going to grow a lot during this change, I just feel it. There is something about her and I have already noticed a difference in my teaching and in my contacting. It´s less and less about the lessons and more and more about the people which I have really struggled with in the past. But now I just feel like it´s not even a lesson anymore, it´s listening to their needs and teaching exactly what they need to hear.
My companion is 26 years old and we are besties already. She´s so funny and so short. I guess it’s true that big things come in small packages. She is such a spiritual giant and I love it. So you could say that I´m very happy with the change that happened. I’m excited to see the miracles that are coming.
Wednesday was transfers, as well as my birthday. Hermana Comán made me breakfast and brought it to me in bed while I was doing my exercises. That was really sweet. Then we went to transfers and I saw a lot of great friends who all wished me a happy birthday because Hermana Kahnlein came over and gave me a hug for my birthday. Then when we got home we went to work. We went to see our mission leader and then when we got to the house my companion wanted to buy some like chocolate brownie things. I didn't know what she was planning but when we got to the house she put 3 matches on one of the brownies and started to sing happy birthday to me in English (so cute when Latinos speak english). And that was my birthday!!
Alright enough about the birthday. Thank you for the letter from Danika. She´s going to be such an amazing missionary. I´m so excited for her!!! I also loved the pictures from Halloween! So fun. Hey mom, I don't need anything. I have everything that I need out here. Everything I have will last until the end of my mission.
Sorry there isn’t much to tell about investigators this week. We literally couldn’t find any of them. We do have a new girl that wants to get baptized. The only problem is that her parents are against her getting baptized. So we will have a lot of work to do there. I´ll let you know how it all goes with her!! Thank you all for your amazing support and love. I love you all my beautiful family.
Con amor,
Hermana Tycksen
